What is the STARTALK Business Service? Startalk Business is the flag ship service provided by North Star Communications which will allow customers to choose North Star as their pre-selected operator for making international calls also termed Carrier Pre-Selection (CPS). Is this service available only for companies? This service can be availed by companies as well as individuals. How do we apply for the STARTALK Business Service? STARTALK Business Service can be purchased through North Star’s customer friendly team of sales and marketing personnel who are trained and equipped to provide you with all the necessary information regarding the service. How do we know when our account is activated? Once the application is verified and approved by North Star Communications, it will be handed over to Batelco for the CPS configuration. Processing an application would take a maximum of up to 10 working days and customers can follow up on the progress with their applications by contacting the helpline at 17 565 171 or email status@startalk.bh. Is there any administration fee? There are no hidden charges when you use the STARTALK Business Service – no connection fees, maintenance fees or administration fees. Can we use this service to make calls from any phone? You can use this STARTALK Business Service to make calls only from a fixed line phone which is previously configured at our exchange and does not cover mobile phones. Is there any way to override the North Star Service for international calls? Startalk Business customers also have the option to make international calls using the providing carrier’s network by using an override code of 02220 on a call by call basis. For calls made using the override code, customers will receive a bill from BATELCO for that particular call at their relevant rates. Do North Star customers get telephone bills only from North Star? Each month you will receive a telephone bill from STARTALK Business Service detailing all the international calls made through STARTALK Business Service for each of your fixed line telephone numbers configured through North Star. Rental charges, local call charges, charges for override calls or any other extra charges will still be billed by Batelco. How do we know the rates to each country? Making an international call will remain exactly the same like the traditional calling procedures such as 00 + country code + number with no extra digits or numbers to be dialed. |
