What is the STARTALK Homeline Service?
The STARTALK Homeline Service gives you the freedom to access Bahrain’s most popular low cost international telephone call service from either your home or mobile phone without having to purchase a prepaid telephone card or enter lengthy pin numbers.

I am a GDN subscriber. How do I apply for the STARTALK HOMELINE Service?
GDN subscribers who would like to avail the STARTALK Homeline Service can do so by filling in the application form which comes along with the GDN. The filled application form can be delivered to Suite 1201, Almoayyed Towers, Seef. You can also sent it to Startalk Homeline, PO Box 2591, Manama, Bahrain or fax it to 17 565 175 or telephone 17 290 000 for pickup.

I am not a GDN subscriber. How do I apply for the STARTALK HOMELINE Service?
You can download the application form here, or call 17 290 000 and we will deliver the application form directly to your home. How do I know when my account is activated?
You will receive a formal acknowledgement from us once the application is verified and approved by North Star Communications.

Is there any administration fee?
There are no hidden charges when you use the STARTALK Prepaid International Calling Cards or the Startalk Homeline Service – no connection fees, maintenance fees or administration fees.

Can I use this service from outside Bahrain?
No, the STARTALK Prepaid International Calling Cards or the Startalk Homeline Service can be used to make international calls only from the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Can I use this service to make calls from any phone?
You can use this STARTALK Homeline Service to make calls from any fixed line phone or Batelco mobile phone which is previously registered at our exchange.

How do I know the credit balance for my account?
On dialing the access number from any phone number which is previously registered with us, the available call credit will be announced in Dollars and Cents. After entering the destination number, the number of available minutes to that number will be announced.

When I make an international call, am I charged for the local call as well?
The access number 8000 2444 that we provide is a toll-free number and so you don’t have to pay for the local connection. North Star Communications will absorb the local per minute charges.

How do I enter the destination number?
The destination number has to be keyed in with/without a 00. Just enter the country code and the city code and the telephone/mobile number of the called party followed by the # key. After you hear an announcement with the available minutes, please hold on until you hear the ring tone.
